Dr. Jackson believes that being an orthodontist is the best job in the world! He not only gets to help each patient grow towards a beautiful and healthy smile, but also gets to build lasting connections with them. Because treatment lasts from 6-30 months, Dr. Jackson has the unique opportunity to get to know his patients on a personal basis, and to hear what they've been up to since their last visit!  By getting to know patients personally, Dr. Jackson feels he's a part of their lives and community, and that makes his work so much more fulfilling!

Education and Continuing Education

In order to become an orthodontist, Dr. Jackson first attained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida at Gainesville before attending dental school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  After graduation, he went on to complete his orthodontic residency at Saint Louis University.  Dr. Jackson completed his American Board of Orthodontics written exam in 2007.

As an orthodontist, Dr. Jackson feels that continuing education is essential. In order to achieve the best possible smile for all of his patients, Dr. Jackson educates himself on the most current methods and technologies. Continuing education has allowed him to expand techniques he uses to create each beautiful smile. One example is a soft-tissue laser, an advanced technology that Dr. Jackson uses when appropriate to sculpt the gingiva and help reveal your best smile!

In the Office

Dr. Jackson and his staff love the energy and fun that comes with working with children, adolescents, and young adults. At the end of treatment, our patients' excitement at seeing their new smile is always magical to watch. As a former orthodontic patient, Dr. Jackson understands their excitement and loves to help celebrate!

As a practice, we always go out of our way to make your orthodontic experience as fun as possible! We have a theater for patients and siblings to enjoy while waiting for their appointment. We also have a video game center and a coffee and juice bar.  For additional fun and motivation, we have frequent holiday and seasonal gift giveaways.  Your whole family will look forward to coming to see us! 

More important than our office conveniences is the way we care for our patients. Our team always makes sure to treat patients like family members. It is our goal to provide a fun, energetic, and professional orthodontic experience. Our staff is highly and continually trained. We feel the real difference in our office, one that we are known for, is exceptional patient care.

Family and Community

Following his residency, Dr. Jackson returned to Chapel Hill and joined a private practice while his wife, Stephanie(who is a Pediatric Dentist), finished her schooling.  Dr. Jackson and his wife are excited to now be settling in Charlotte and look forward to becoming an active member of this community.  They have one daughter and look forward to more beautiful children.  It has always been a passion for Dr. Jackson to help at-risk teenagers and children.  He has been an active member of the Big Brother Program, involved with youth centers, and provided dental care at the Boys and Girls Club.

In his spare time, his hobbies include exercising, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.  Dr. Jackson and his wife enjoy traveling to different cities and finding great places to eat. He's also a huge sports fan!
